DENTON (CBSDFW.COM) - A family in Denton is shocked, unable to explain why someone targeted them with racial vandalism and arson.

Their truck is torched... their motorcycle damaged, but the most hurtful injury for Jenny and David Williams is the N-word splattered in big black letters on their garage Monday.

Vandals torched a motorcycle and truck in Denton.

"The word meant is ignorant and so for me it's an oxymoron that an ignorant person would write something ignorant on my garage door," said arson victim David Williams.

Williams lives with his wife and four children in a racially diverse neighborhood. And no one, they said, has ever shown bias toward them stemming from their personal relationships with people of all races.

"I don't face the same racism other people face. I know that's not the popular thing to say, but that's the truth," said Williams.

Despite damaging the family's home, vandals have not damaged the Williams' core values.

"Why they are doing it I don't have an answer for, but thank you for announcing to the world I'm not racist," said Jenny Williams.
