DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas Fire-Rescue units were alerted of a structure fire Saturday at the former H.S. Thompson Elementary School building.

According to officials, the 911 call came from a person who saw smoke coming from the second floor of the building.

According to fire-rescue, when firefighters arrived, they made their way inside and found fire in a classroom on the second floor.

The fire was eventually escalated to a second-alarm response.

Firefighters had the fire extinguished in just under an hour.

There were no reports of injuries.

Investigators believe the fire was incendiary in nature, and that it was set on some shelving in the classroom.
