"United Against Racism & Hate" Rally Shows Support For Muslim Community

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) — The Council on American-Islamic Relations along with a number of religious, political and social justice organizations hosted a rally and march to show support for the Muslim community on Saturday.
More than 100 people attended the United Against Racism and Hate march. Originally scheduled to be held outside a mosque in Irving to counter-protest a KKK rally, the CAIR-DFW rally moved to Fair Park after the KKK canceled its event.
"In these very tough times, we must all come together as people of conscience from all walks of life to join hands to proclaim that racism and intolerance have no comfort in our community," said Alia Salem, executive director of CAIR-DFW.
The event was scheduled to include speeches and voter registration sign-ups.
