Union Pacific Service Down After Trains Collide

KOSSE (AP) - Union Pacific says it is working to restore train service in rural North Texas after a crash.

Company spokeswoman Elizabeth Hutchison says one southbound train collided with another near Kosse at about 9:45 p.m. Sunday, causing the derailment of one locomotive and 14 cars.

Two people were injured.

Hutchison says crews are working to restore service at the site of the accident, about 100 miles south of Dallas. Some parts of the track will have to be repaired.
