LEWISVILLE (CBSDFW) - Police were called to another ATM smash and grab early Friday morning at a convenience store on I-35E  in Lewisville.

Investigators say a pickup driver backed into a convenience store on Fox Avenue, smashing the store's front windows.

Witnesses say two people wearing masks tied a chain around the ATM and pulled it out.

According to sources, the ATM had a GPS tracking device inside and they have tracked it to East Dallas where two people were found trying to open the machine.

There has been a rash of ATM thefts in Dallas and Arlington over recent months.

Most of the cases involve a group of people ramming a truck into a convenience store and taking off with the machine.

This week, an ATM was taken from the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center through the loading dock.
