PLANO (CBSDFW.COM) -- Plano Police have arrested two men in connection with a series of aggravated robberies in North Texas.
Pier Alexander Pelaez, 44, was arrested on Friday, while Edwin Riascos Romero, 32, was arrested on Tuesday. Both suspects are from Columbia and are being held on $100,000 bond with immigration holds.
Jerry Minton with Plano Police says the two men are believed to be responsible for armed robberies and burglaries specifically targeting Asian homes.
"In Plano alone, just three robberies from mid-March to late March -- and as many as five burglaries," said Minton.
Minton says the suspects presented a handgun during the robberies.
Richardson Police are also investigating two similar incidents.
It's unclear if Pelaez and Romero are in the country illegally.
