Two children injured after being hit by car in Plano, police say

Two children hurt after crash in Plano

Two children have been hospitalized after being hit by a car Tuesday afternoon in Plano, police said.

Plano Fire-Rescue and Plano police were called around 4:15 p.m. to the intersection of Plano Parkway and Accent Drive, where a car ran a red light and two children were hit while crossing the street.

The driver stopped and the children were taken to the hospital, police said.

The department said the children are in stable condition; however, the extent of their injuries is unknown.

Plano police said there are no indications that drugs or alcohol were contributing factors in this crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
