Trinity Railway Express train hits, kills man on tracks

RICHLAND HILLS - One person is dead after a Trinity Railway Express train struck them Wednesday afternoon. 

Westbound train 2933 hit the man in the right-of-way, east of Richland Hill Station, DART Spokesman Gordon Shattles said. 

The victim died at the scene, according to the Richland Hills Police Department. The department added that they believe the man intentionally jumped in front of the train.

There is no foul play suspected and no criminal charges are pending, according to police. Also, there were no other injuries reported and transportation by bus was arranged for passengers that were on the train. 

Currently, a shuttle bus is in place for passengers between Fort Worth Central Station and Bell Station.
