A game of Pictionary-- turns into a proposal -- and you could tell the future fiancé had no idea this was coming.

The Houston couple was laying Pictionary with two other couples -- when Matthew Tomasello surprised his girlfriend Pam Garcia with the proposal.

He drew a church and two stick figures, while his girlfriend tried to guess.  Finally, he wrote, "Will you marry me?" On the Pictionary pad.

Still, Pam didn't seem to catch on that this was a real proposal until Matthew pulled out the ring.

The pair are planning to get married next January -- exactly one year from the day they got engaged.
