Amtrak Train And Tractor Trailer Collide In Dallas

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A tractor trailer and Amtrak train slammed into each other in Dallas at 2:18 p.m. The twisted metal of the trailer showed the point of impact where the train and vehicle connected.

There were 51 passengers on Train 21, also called "The Eagle" when it happened. They are all ok. The driver of the truck wasn't injured either.

Service was temporarily suspended as local authorities investigate the incident.

Train 21 travels between Chicago and Los Angeles.
