Tornadoes Reported As Severe Storm Tracks Across North Texas

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM/AP) — A severe storm system that swept across northern Texas brought hail, high winds and numerous reports of tornadoes.

The Fort Worth office of the National Weather Service said Sunday night it had received reports of twisters in locations across Johnson and Hill counties.

Mobile 11 showed footage from Johnson County's Rio Vista, where a tornado was reported, showed downed trees, and debris and an overturned semitrailer in a roadway.

The Johnson County Sheriff's Office said just after midnight that the extent of damage wasn't immediately clear. Deputies were headed to affected areas. There were no immediate reports of injuries.

Hill County Emergency Management had no immediate reports of injuries or major damage.

A flash flood warning was set to expire for parts of Hill, Ellis and Bosque counties at 1:45 a.m.
