Three British Sailors Facing Assault Charges After Incident With DPD Officer

DALLAS (CBS11) - Three British sailors are accused of attacking a Dallas Police officer.

Police say Senior Corporal Gerado Huanta was in uniform working an off-duty security job when he tried to break up a bar fight in Uptown Saturday night.

When he jumped in, police say the three members of the British Royal Navy started hitting and kicking Huanta.

The three men, Christopher Casey, 28, Christopher Hickman, 30 and Callum Duncan, 26 are charged with assault on a public servant.

Corporal Huanta was treated at Parkland Hospital and released.
