Three Airlifted After Crash In Waxahachie

WAXAHACHIE (CBSDFW.COM) - Two children and one adult were rushed to hospitals in critical condition after a small car slammed into an SUV according to witnesses Thursday night.

It happened on northbound Highway 77 at Hedgewood.  The road was shut down for several hours but is back open now.

Witnesses at the Campuzano Restaurant told CBS11 it appeared children in the small car were not belted in, and at least two were taken by Careflite along with an adult woman.

Waxahachie police are investigating.
