Threat Prompts Increased Police Presence At Fort Worth Area School

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) -- Fort Worth Police have increased their presence at Chisolm Trail High School on Friday after an anonymous threat was made targeting the school on social media.
The threat was made on the social media app Yik Yak, warning students to avoid the school at 12:40 p.m.
The school, which is in the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw Independent School District, resumed class as normal on Friday.
"Even though this threat has not been validated, we take each rumor seriously and work with law enforcement and campus administration to ensure the safety of our campuses," a district statement reads.
EMS ISD investigates all threats made via social media. 1st priority is safety, 2nd is working with police to prosecute the one who posted.
