Thousands Watch As Giraffe Gives Birth At Dallas Zoo

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - As the world watched, Katie, the giraffe, gave birth around 6 pm to her second calf at the Dallas Zoo.

Nearly 50,000 people watched the event on a live stream provided by Animal Planet. 

Since the camera was set up, more than 1.3 million viewers tuned in.  Katie's labor lasted about an hour.
