DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - ATM thieves are getting more creative in their attempts to steal the cash machines directly from a variety of stores.
Dallas has seen a rash of ATM thefts this year, and the latest one came at about 4 am on April 21, as two masked men used a chain to rip the ATM from the floor of the PLS Check Cashing location at 6500 Skillman Street.

The suspects backed a stolen 2007 white Ford van up to the front door of the business before one of them got out to wrap the chain around the ATM machine. The van then surges forward to pull the ATM out of the floor. Then the two men load it into the back of the van. The whole process takes a little more than one minute.
An employee inside the store called police to report the theft. At this time, the stolen van and the ATM have not been found. Anyone with information on this case should call Dallas Police or 911.
