Texas Retail Gas Prices Down By 8 Cents

IRVING, Texas (AP) - Retail gasoline prices have dropped by nearly a dime across Texas this week, settling at $3.09 a gallon.

AAA Texas on Thursday said the average unleaded price fell from $3.17 recorded last week.

The nationwide price at the pump is $3.25, which is down from $3.33 a week ago.

In the metro areas of Texas, drivers in Beaumont are paying the least at $3.03 while motorists in Dallas-Fort Worth and Texarkana are paying the most at $3.11.

AAA says global oil prices have continued to slide as supplies have outpaced demand and markets remain stable despite geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and elsewhere.
