COPPELL (AP) - Texas and nationwide retail gasoline prices are up a penny this week.

AAA Texas on Thursday reported the statewide average has reached $1.97 per gallon. Drivers across the country are paying an average $2.13 per gallon at the pump.

Beaumont and San Antonio have the cheapest gasoline in Texas this week at an average $1.92 per gallon. The association survey found El Paso has the most expensive gasoline at an average $2.06 per gallon.

Association experts say abundant supplies of gasoline have contributed to lower gas prices across the U.S. during this summer driving season.
