COPPELL (AP) - Texas and nationwide retail gasoline prices have dipped 4 cents this week amid declines in crude oil prices.

AAA Texas on Thursday reported the statewide price at the pump was an average $1.61 per gallon. The average U.S. price was $1.82 per gallon.

Association officials say the current gasoline prices are the country's lowest since January 2009.

El Paso has the most expensive gasoline this week in Texas at an average $1.67 per gallon. Drivers in Amarillo and Texarkana have the cheapest gasoline statewide at $1.55 per gallon.

AAA experts say the crude oil supply continues to outpace demand, to help push gasoline prices lower.
