PLANO (CBSDFW.COM) - Someone used a profane message to get a pothole in Plano fixed -- fast.
The dip in the road was outside Houston Elementary on Cross Bend Road. The pothole was repaired in record time after someone spray painted a dirty word next to it. The graffiti made a suggestion as to what the City should do about the pothole.
One neighbor said the swearing was an overreaction, because the pothole wasn't that big. "I don't know what the point of that is. The City does a really good job around here of keeping things orderly and nice."
People in the neighborhood say the area is generally very quiet and they suspect the identity of the vandal will be discovered. "They have a nice neighborhood watch program that goes on, anything that happens they alert the neighborhood. Quite frankly, if somebody sees it they'll report them."
The City of Plano has an app called Fix it Plano; available for iPhone and Android users, that residents can use to report needed city repairs.
Plano police are investigating the vandalism and say that depending on how much it costs to remove the graffiti the perpetrator could get a ticket or face jail time.
