Taste Addison celebrates 30 years with food, fun, and festivities

Taste Addison turns 30: A weekend of flavors, tunes, and fun for everyone.

Taste Addison is back for its 30th year this weekend. The family-friendly event includes eats, beats, and artistic treats.

The festival features dozens of rides at two separate carnivals across from each other in the park. More than 50 local food vendors are participating, including Cantina Laredo.

"We do our famous steak and chicken nachos. We actually do our street tacos, chicken and beef, and we also do our delicious street corn," Cantina Laredo general manager Patrick Campbell said.

Taste Addison also features dozens of shopping vendors with everything from jewelry to candles. Attendees can enjoy performances and music from 15 different countries and cultures.

"We have a lot for families. We've got our bite-sized backyard, where you can have arts and crafts. We've got picnic tables over there so parents can relax while their kids are having fun. We've got the carnival this year that's actually spread all across the park. We've got a silent disco, which is fun for kids of all ages," Addison's director of marketing and tourism, Mary Rosenbleeth, said.

Taste Addison runs until 6 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $15, and kids 12 and under get in free on Sunday.
