Texicon 2016 is today through Sunday at the Hurst Conference Center (June 23-26). Players from across Texas, and other states, can take part in various types of gaming…Miniatures, Role-Playing, and Board gaming. Texicon also hosts seminars that focus on every aspect of gaming.

The Big Hoss TV Ultimate Drive In: Jurassic World is happening at Texas Motor Speedway Saturday June 25. You'll see great summer movies presented on the world's largest high definition screen, Big Hoss, in the infield at Texas Motor Speedway! Enter at the south tunnel, gates open at 6:30pm and the movie starts at 8:00pm. Admission is $20 per car or $15 in advance. Proceeds benefit the Speedway Children's Charities – Texas Chapter.
Richard III comes to the stage in the second production in the 2016 Shakespeare in the Park season. Performances of the Shakespearean classic will run June 22-26 for the opening week and continue June 29-July 23 every Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday at the Samuell Grand Amphitheater, 1500 Tenison Parkway in Dallas.
If you are a horror fan, you can't miss this deal. John Carpenter performs his Lost Themes II Tour at 7 p.m. Friday, June 24, at Majestic Theatre. According to the man himself…The John Carpenter: Live Retrospective will include 70 to 75 percent of the scores from the movies he has done. The rest are cuts from the two albums. They will also have scenes from the movies playing.
Jack's Throwback 2016 at Southside Ballroom is Saturday June 25. If you love KISS, Def Leppard, ACDC and Ozzy…too bad. They won't be there. But, the next best thing will be with the ultimate tribute bands on the planet.
