Brewed in Texas for the whole world to savor, Tejas Brothers will perk up anyone with their concert at 7:30 pm, Friday, July 22 at the Allen Public Library. This deal is free. Tejas Brothers' music is shots of honky-tonk country and roots-rockin' blues, with a splash of Tex-Mex!
2016 DFW Summer Boat Expo is at Dallas Market Hall today through Sunday (July 21-24). DFW Summer Boat Expo is the largest boating event in North Texas featuring more than 450 boat and watercraft models from over 20 North Texas boat dealers.
Kick back and enjoy some great live music at twilight with Garden Gigs, returning to the Dallas Arboretum for its second season this July. Each Friday event features a selection of local artists and musicians performing throughout the 66-acre gardens. Kick-off this weekend with Devin Leigh, Matt Tedder, and John Lefler & Camille Cortinas. Garden Gigs runs from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. You can bring your own food, or take advantage of some of DFW's most popular food trucks including Rick's Smokehouse BBQ, Easy Sliders and Kona Ice. Gates open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $8 for members, $10 for nonmembers and parking is included. Also for the month of July, the Dallas Arboretum is also offering first responders with a valid ID free admission to the main garden.
Be sure to also check out Gary Lee Price's Delbert the Dragon which debuts at the Dallas Arboretum Saturday July 23. Delbert the Dragon, the newest larger-than-life bronze statue from international sculptor Gary Lee Price, measures six-and-a-half-feet tall and weighs 615 pounds. See Delbert Saturday through November 27.
Brandon Potter appears as King Richard in the second production of Shakespeare Dallas' 2016 season of Shakespeare in the Park. The classic Richard III will run through this Saturday (July 23).
It is Dollar Day at the Dallas Zoo today (July 21)! Go by and see the baby boy elephant Ajabu!
