Suspect In Waxahachie Hospital Standoff Identified

WAXAHACHIE (CBSDFW.COM) - Officials identified the suspect of a standoff at Baylor Scott and White hospital in Waxahachie Saturday evening.

Police charged Lorenzo Zarate with aggravated assault and trying to take a gun from on officer.

Officials said Zarate walked into the emergency room of the hospital with a gun pointed at one of his children.

According to investigators, Zarate had another one of his children in his vehicle in the parking lot.

The incident is still under investigation.
