Armed Disturbance Suspect In Dallas Police Custody Following Short Chase

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) — The suspect of an armed disturbance is in Dallas police custody following a short chase on Sunday.

Police say the suspect jumped into a vehicle and led officers on a chase from the 6900 block of Marvin D. Love Freeway.

The suspect hit a vehicle with an adult woman inside at the intersection of Camp Wisdom Road and Bainbridge Drive nearby, police said. When the suspect tried to continue fleeing, officers boxed in the vehicle and took the suspect into custody.

The woman's injuries were minor, but she was taken to a hospital as a precaution.

Officers recovered a firearm, police said. The suspect's name is being withheld pending further investigation.
