Suspect In Car Theft, Dragging In Custody

DALLAS COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) - A man the Dallas County Sheriff's Department says dragged another man down the street while stealing his car last month is in custody.
Leedon Ireland, 28, was already in the Dallas County Jail on an unrelated charge for evading arrest when CBS11 broadcast the video of the car theft Tuesday.
The victim, Terrence Edge, told CBS11 he left his car running while he went to check his mail. That's when the suspect got in the car and took off. When Edge tried to stop the suspect, Edge was dragged about 70 feet.
He's still healing from scrapes and bruises but otherwise, okay.
