Suspect Caught On Camera Illegally Dumping/Burning Truck

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - The Dallas Marshal's Office crack down on illegal dumping through strategically placed cameras paid off as a suspect was caught on video illegally dumping a truck and setting it on fire. The suspect can be seen in this Jan. 22 video.
The video was taken at 1300 Killough Blvd., one of 62 sites in the city identified as chronic illegal dumping sites.
The suspect and his accomplice have been charged with Felony Arson and Felony Illegal Dumping and are now in the Dallas County Jail.
Based on their criminal histories, one is held on a $50,000 bond for arson plus a $50,000 bond for illegal dumping. The other is held on $100,000 for arson and $100,000 for illegal dumping.
The City of Dallas says it's aggressively pursuing illegal dumping and has placed an additional fifty cameras around the city which led to the arrests.
One suspect is visible running from the red truck with a gas can and then smoke can be seen billowing from the red truck.

The city says illegal dumping is not a minor offense, with penalties ranging from 180 days in jail to two years in state prison, plus fines.
People who see illegal dumping are urged to call 911 and give the vehicle description, license plate and suspect description.
