Suspect arrested in April murder of Houston woman in downtown Dallas, police say

A man wanted in connection with the April murder of a Houston woman in downtown Dallas has been arrested, police said Friday.

Kendrick Finch, 34, was arrested for the murder of 28-year-old Ashlee Renee Long after authorities posted his picture Thursday, seeking public assistance in locating him.

Long was one of two people shot around 2:30 a.m. April 5 in the 1800 block of Main Street. She was taken to Baylor University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 3:04 a.m.
