KELLER (CBS 11 NEWS) - They may not even be old enough to recite the alphabet yet, but a group of pre-school aged children in Keller have become sought after experts for toy testing.

The Goddard School of Keller has been selected by the Goddard Systems Inc. as one of only 49 schools across the country to beta test some of the hottest toys going into the holiday season.

Goddard School owner Grady Smallwood said, "What we're trying to do is to determine which toys the children are most interested in."

The toys range from building blocks to electronic gadgets that light up. All of them are intended to stimulate a young child's brain and be fun for them.

Smallwood added, "If a child is interested and finds it fun and it peaks their interest they're really going to have a deep and rich learning experience."

The toy testing will include surveys and rankings given by the pre-schoolers. Teachers will then assemble a list of the Top 10 toys which will be voted on by parents.

Once the Top 10 are announced in November, Goddard Systems Inc. will buy 100 and donate them to Toys for Tots.
