Storms Leave, Summer Stays

We had strong storms sweep through north Texas this morning. Heavy rain along with strong winds and frequent lightning were part of the weather show. The strongest storms rolled just north of the Metroplex. This afternoon we'll enjoy slightly cooler temperatures than the last several days. Storms could re-fire across our southeast:

  

Highs in the Metro area will reach to the low 90's. The chances for rain for Grapefest or the afternoon Rangers game is very, very small:

High pressure quickly builds in from the west as dry and hot weather returns to Texas. We'll be close to 100° tomorrow!

Fall officially starts on Thursday but we'll have to wait for the weekend to finally get some fall weather. After a big rain event on Saturday we'll have cooler conditions for following work week:

The Atlantic Hurricane Season is not over yet. By Wednesday or Thursday we could have HURRICANE Karl out in the Atlantic. This storm could threaten the east coast by the following weekend so stay tuned:
