Storm Aftermath: Avoiding Insurance Scammers

DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Damage from the recent tornadoes in North Texas will exceed $1 billion, according to The Insurance Council of Texas.  As people start rebuilding, they need to be careful of scammers who are out there ready to take advantage.

Lynn McChristian with the Insurance Information Institute, a non-profit that helps educate people about insurance and insurance scams tells the KRLD Morning News there are some things people should avoid to prevent being ripped off.
