NORTH TEXAS (CBSDFW.COM) -  North Texans looking for something a little harder to drink than coffee and tea can still turn to Starbucks. There are now three DFW locations offering wine, beer and savory dishes.

The coffeehouse chain first rolled out their 'Starbucks Evenings' campaign in Seattle, but soon submitted liquor license applications for hundreds of locations across country -- North Texas included.

So far, the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission has approved liquor permits for two Starbucks locations in Dallas and one in Fort Worth.

Customers can enjoy afternoon and evening libations at Starbucks locations on -

  • 8026 Park Lane, Dallas, Texas 75231
  • 5715 Lemmon Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75209
  • 141 W. Third Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76102

Starbucks is rolling out the evening alcohol and dining options to try and boost sales later in the day. The company website says, "Starbucks customers are already enjoying coffee at our stores in the evening, and now, they have more menu options including wine, craft beer and small plates."

Officials with the company say the evening wine and craft beer assortment is a reflection of the tastes in regions across the U.S.

So while employees at the company may have been barista aficionados, they're now becoming bartenders too.

Hours for Starbucks Evenings vary by location.
