Southlake Teen Dies From Injuries In Cycling Crash

SOUTHLAKE (CBSDFW.COM) -- A Southlake teenager who was struck by a car while riding his bike on Monday has died from his injuries.

Cole Malone, 16, was riding his bike in the 600 block of Byron Nelson Parkway around 8 p.m. when he was struck by a white sports car traveling northbound.

He was transported by CareFlite to Harris Methodist Hospital in downtown Fort Worth, where he eventually succumbed to his injuries.

Southlake Police are still investigating the incident. At this time, no charges have been filed against the driver, who did stop and render aid.
