Sources: Cowboys' Murray Meets With Garrett

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM/105.3 THE FAN) - The Cowboys' DeMarco Murray attended the Cavs-at-Mavs game on Tuesday to watch LeBron James.
Jason Garrett was a late arrival to the AAC, but the Dallas Cowboys coach wasn't there for basketball.
Sources tell 105.3 The Fan that after the game, the Cowboys' free-agent running back met in a private room at the AAC for a 10-minute meeting with Garrett, with whom he is close. A source close to the situation tells me the session was "significant'' and that Murray and Garrett mentioned continuing the visit at a later date.
Amid reports that the Raiders, Eagles and Jags are "close'' to a deal with Murray, the Cowboys continue hoping he remains in Dallas, but at a rate below "star-market-value'' for a running back.
Murray has told the Cowboys he'd like a Jamaal Charles-like deal, meaning about $9 million annually. At mid-season Dallas proposed a "4x4'' -- four years at $4 million annually -- but that was before Murray completed one of the finest running back performances in NFL history.
As 105.3 The Fan reported on Sunday, Dallas has used its "Tyron Trigger'' (a wrinkle in Tyron Smith's lengthy contract) to open up $8 million in cap room -- the sort of money that can be earmarked to help keep Murray and another priority, Rolando McClain.
