LEWISVILLE (CBSDFW.COM) - The Creekside Mobile Home Park lived up to its name Friday night.

Residents watched the water all evening like an approaching storm.  It had been moving slowly but several homeowners took no chances and evacuated.

Trucks full of toys clothes and valuables rolled through high water and out of the mobile home park. The creek that runs alongside side it overflowed its banks and into people's back yards.

"We're actually evacuating in almost an hour just taking a final look but we'll be out of here by night," said one resident.

Other families decided to stay put for the time being but they're worried.

"This is my first time doing this it's kind of scary I've never seen this before we used to play down in the creek and go fishing," says resident Hayden Horton.

Families like the Hortons secured property that could be exposed or damaged by water.  Police have been making regular patrols.

While homes along the creek appear to be most at risk, no knew for sure how high the water would get overnight.
