BEDFORD (CBS11) - A North Texas family was in for quite the surprise over the weekend when they grew their family by two.
Karla Anzaldua was in active labor when family members began showing up to Texas Health H-E-B in Bedford to be by her side.
One of those family members was her 9-months-pregnant sister-in-law, Amanda Anzua.
Anzua said she began to feel pain and soon was in labor herself.
She added, "She is having a baby, not me... but surprise!"
"It was crazy I was in shock,"said Anzaldua about her sister-in-law going into labor at the same as here.
Although, Anzaldua had been in labor much longer that Anzua, Anzua was the first to be rushed to operating room for a C-section delivery.
Anzua remembers the moments she was being wheeled out of surgery after successfully giving birth to her boy Judah saying, "I'm coming out and she was coming in."
About an hour and 19 minutes after Judah was born, his cousin Alessandro came into the world.
Both Anzua and Anzaldua were delivered through C-section.
The family says the births may seem like an odd coincidence for many, but for them it's just more proof of how close their bond is to one another.
Anzua added, "They were meant to be brothers, but born as cousins."
Both moms and the boys are healthy and doing well and were scheduled to go home Monday.
