FORT WORTH (CBS11) - Fort Worth police are searching for three or four serial robbers they say are elusive, brazen and extremely dangerous. The robbers consistently rob stores during hours with customers and in plain view of surveillance cameras. Yet, no one know what the robbers look like.

"Maybe they take about 30 seconds, or 35 seconds," said Anop Adhikary, a clerk at a store in the 3300 Block of East Berry Street that was robbed twice. "They do it very quick."

It is 30 or 35 seconds of intimidation and fear. Police tell us these thieves have stormed into convenience stores the same way 13 times in less than two months.

"We were frightened," Adhikary said. "They had guns. We don't know if it's real or fake but they had guns. I was really frightened."

Police say the guns are real. Video seems to show a robber firing a shot which narrowly misses the clerk as he barges into the store.

Investigators say the pattern of robberies appears random, scattered around town. But all the robberies happened between 9:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. with the robbers unafraid of witnesses. Police say they routinely manhandle clerks and customers to the floor.

A description of the men other than their hoodies and gloves is almost impossible because of one specialty item the robbers wear.

"They were masked," Adhikary said. "It's not possible to see them."

"They're not wearing bandannas," said Fort Worth robbery detective Brian Raynsford. "They are not wearing a ski mask. what we believe they are wearing a full face mesh mask that you can buy online etc. sort of that same purpose a pantyhose used to serve back in the 70s and 80s.

"They are extremely dangerous," he said.
