School District Launches Anonymous App To Report Bullying

LITTLE ELM (CBSDFW.COM) - One North Texas school district has a new 'tech-friendly' way for students to report bullying.
The Little Elm Independent School District has launched an anonymous alerts app to let students or staff report bullying, harassment and other sensitive topics.
Pat Robbins, the Little Elm ISD director of communication services and community relations, says school administrators are in favor of the new app and she thinks students will be too. "It gives them the cover that they need to hold on to their 'cool factor,' but still possibly either protect themselves or protect a friend."
The app lets staff or students have a safe conversation and can remain anonymous until either party decides to discuss the issue in person. Robbins says the school district has a very simple goal: to adjust behavior before anyone gets hurt.
The app is called Anonymous Alerts and is free for both iPhone and Android.
