HALTOM CITY (CBSDFW.COM) – Roofers across the metroplex are reporting a massive demand for leak fixes due to recent rains that washed out the Thanksgiving weekend.
Troy Cruthers from Titan Contractors said his phone won't stop ringing. "If I had to guess a number I would say four times the work load as we normally are. It's pretty crazy right now."
The rain in North Texas began on Thursday and in many parts lasted until Sunday night. Four days of non-stop rain, according to Cruthers will always mean water damage is to be expected.
Now with so many home owners and business needing leak fixes Cruthers says his response to them is simple, "Get it in line that's all we're telling them."
Cruthers who was on site helping fix leaks at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Haltom City says right now customers need to be patient.
He also said this is an easy time for scammers to take advantage of customers, and he advises you only hire a reputable company to make the repairs.
