Retail Gasoline Prices In Texas & Nationwide Below $2

COPPELL (AP) — Retail gasoline prices in Texas and nationwide are both below $2 per gallon this week.

AAA Texas on Thursday reported the statewide average price at the pump fell 4 cents to settle at $1.72 per gallon. U.S. retail gasoline prices slipped by 6 cents to reach an average $1.94 per gallon.

Drivers in Beaumont and Corpus Christi have the cheapest gasoline in Texas this week at an average $1.65 per gallon. The association survey found Dallas and El Paso with the most expensive gasoline statewide at an average $1.76 per gallon.

AAA experts say motorists in three dozen states are currently paying an average of less than $2 per gallon at the pump.
