COPPELL (AP) — Retail gasoline prices across Texas are up 4 cents this week to reach an average $1.86 per gallon.

AAA Texas on Thursday reported the national average price at the pump rose a nickel to reach $2.01 per gallon.

Dallas has the most expensive gasoline in Texas this week at an average $1.95 per gallon. The association survey found that drivers in El Paso have the cheapest gasoline statewide at an average $1.77 per gallon.

AAA experts say gas prices have gone up recently largely due to seasonal increases in fuel demand and reduced production as some refineries do maintenance.
