COPPELL (CBSDFW.COM/AP) — Are you gassing up and getting ready for a weekend road trip? If so, you'll need some extra change when pulling up to the pump. Retail gasoline prices are up 2 cents this week across Texas.
AAA Texas on Thursday reported the average price at the pump statewide was $2.57 per gallon. Nationwide gasoline prices held steady this week at $2.76 per gallon.
The association survey found drivers in Dallas paying the most in Texas, at $2.67 per gallon. Beaumont has the cheapest gasoline statewide at an average $2.48 per gallon.
AAA officials say gas prices are likely poised for a seasonal decline as refineries complete maintenance and gear up production for the busy summer driving season.
