DALLAS (CBSDFW) -- The Dallas Mavericks are expected to sign Deron Williams after the point guard completes his buyout with the Brooklyn Nets, according to ESPN.
According to Marc Stein, Williams is expected to receive $25 to $30 million to be released from the remaining two years of his contract, in which he is owed $43 million.

Sources tell Stein that Williams will sign a two-year deal with Dallas worth $10 million once he clears waivers, which is expected to be a formality.
The 31-year old is from The Colony, where he played high school basketball before playing at the University of Illinois.
William's wife, Amy Williams, posted the following video to Instagram on Friday, which appears to confirm their return to North Texas.
Dallas pursued Williams as a free agent in 2012 before he signed a five-year, $98.7 million deal with the Nets.
The Mavs currently have point guards JJ Barea, Devin Harris and Raymond Felton under contract for next season.
