NORTH TEXAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Freshman state Rep. Molly White, R-Belton, has very specific instructions for staff in Austin on how to deal with Texas Muslim Capitol Day – and she shared them on Facebook.

"Today is Texas Muslim Capitol Day in Austin. The House is in recess until Monday. Most members including myself are back in District," White posted. "I did leave an Israeli flag on the reception desk in my office with instructions to staff to ask representatives from the Muslim community to renounce Islamic terrorist groups and publicly announce allegiance to America and our laws. We will see how long they stay in my office."

Organized by the Texas chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, Texas Muslim Capitol Day began in 2003. It brings members of Muslim communities in Dallas, Houston and other areas of the state to the Capitol to meet state lawmakers and learn about the political process.

Rep. White's Facebook post garnered quite a bit of traffic on her page. It had 1,529 comments, 630 shares and 349 "likes" at the time of this report.

Most comments were supportive, although there were quite a few questions about why Rep. White left an Israeli flag on her desk. There's no mention on her Facebook Bio of any familial ties to Israel. It does say Rep. White serves on the Global Life Campaign Advisory Council and organizes lobbying trips to the United Nations to participate in the annual UN Commission on the Status of Women.

Rep. White worked on both Bush's reelection campaign in 2004 and on John McCain's in 2008.
