DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Rangers will get a big boast when they return from the all-star break as Yu Darvish is expected to rejoin the rotation.

The club announced that Darvish is expected to be activated from the 15-day DL and start against the Chicago Cubs on Saturday afternoon at Wrigley Field.

Darvish will be the first of many players that are expected to return in the second half of the season.

Relievers Keone Kela and Tanner Scheppers, as well as starter Derek Holland, could all potentially return within the next month. Colby Lewis' return won't likely come until mid-August at the earliest.

Texas enters the second half with the best record in the American league at 54-36.
