LEWISVILLE (CBSDFW.COM) - The rainy weather wreaked havoc on I-35E in Lewisville Tuesday.

The stretch of road runs through miles of construction and flooded in several areas, forcing lanes closed.

The left lanes of the north and southbound directions were shut down FM 407 for much of the afternoon.

Just before 4 p.m., about a mile south, an 18-wheeler jack knifed and damaged the guardrail below FM 1171. The crash closed all southbound lanes while a work crews cleared the truck from the road.

The left lanes, in both directions, remained closed for hours afterward while the guardrail was repaired.
