Rain Chances Picking Up

Good Saturday morning. Lots of big events going this weekend around the DFW area. For the Duck Commander 500 at the Texas Motor Speedway a slight chance of rain that picks up as the night goes on:

For the Main Street Art Festival going on in downtown Fort Worth rain chances are higher tomorrow. Today they are reasonable low with pleasant temperatures:

We have rain in the forecast every day for the week ahead. The greatest chances run Sunday night thru Monday. Monday we could be dealing with severe weather along with very heavy rain:

Rainfall amounts could easily get to 2" plus in some areas around north Texas:

Here is the timing of the rain as it looks this morning. Most of the rain today will be south and southwest of the metro area. By evening it shifts into the central portions of the north Texas:

Tomorrow it appears the eastern half of north Texas will get the best chances. A few non-severe storms will be in the mix:

The bulk of this rain and storms will arrive Sunday night and Monday. We have the risk of severe weather on Monday:
