Portion Of Sam Rayburn Tollway To Close For Weekend Construction

DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Getting through Lewisville and Carrollton could be problematic this weekend.
Starting at 11:00 pm Friday, Hwy 121 (aka Sam Rayburn Tollway) will be closed from Macarthur Blvd to I-35 E, and it wont re-open until Monday morning.
According to officials, Northbound I-35 E will have two lanes closed from Carrollton into Lewisville in the overnight hours.

It's all part of the ongoing $1.4 billion I-35 Express project.
This weekend's closure is part of the overhaul of the ramps that connect 121 and I-35 E.
Many of the businesses on the northbound service road have relocated or closed to make way for the better connections that open next year.
