DALLAS (CBS11) - Dallas police say it's happened four times during the past month.
Three different Family Dollar stores have been hit.
Employees at each of them showed us the holes in the building the suspects busted open.
Police say once the men went inside, they waited until the employees arrived for work, then surprised them and held them up at gunpoint.
Detectives say they stole cash and other property.
The Family Dollar stores targeted are on Northwest Highway, Polk Street, and West Kiest Blvd.
This also happened at the Ace Cash Express on Midway Road on New Year's Eve.
The robbery turned into a stand-off that went on for much of the day, but police didn't find the suspects.
Detectives have released still photos of the suspect's vehicles: A late 1990's tan or silver Nissan with minor front end damage and a Chevy Tahoe.
Darrell Cantu, an assistant manager at one of the Family Dollar stores, says before the robbery, he depended on the alarm system. "When we come in, we just want to start our job, get our job started, we don't expect someone's going to come through the walls, hold us at gunpoint. So everyday it's a struggle having to come in and worry if that's what we have to deal with the next day."
Since the robbery, he says he and others drive around the store to make sure there's nothing suspicious looking before they go inside.
If you have any information about the robberies, you're asked to call Dallas police.
