Police Catch Suspect After Second Armed Robbery At Same Location

CEDAR HILL (CBSDFW.COM) - Police arrested a man suspected of robbing a Dickey's BBQ restaurant after it was robbed a second time.

Cedar Hill Police say on Tuesday shortly after 11:00 a.m., a man with a knife robbed an employee at the Dickey's at 642 Uptown Blvd #202.

Detectives were familiar with a similar crime that happened at the same location May 8.

They say the suspect looked the same and was wearing the same clothes.

The investigation resulted in a warrant  issued for a suspect, Justin Gilbert, 20, of Cedar Hill.

Detectives found him in his neighborhood.  They say he was driving away, got out and ran.

Police say they caught him and took him into custody without incident.

Police say officers found the knife Gilbert allegedly used the clothing he wore during both robberies along with property taken from the victim.

Gilbert is being charged with two counts of aggravated robbery.
